Heart of Ruth Mission is a hands-on, loving organization providing education sponsorships to students who grew up at Rainbow House Children’s Home. Breaking the chain of poverty by providing College and University education opportunities in Kenya.
Why Heart of Ruth?
Ruth from the Bible is a great person to base the values of this organization and ourselves upon. Ruth was a person full of loyal love. When her husband and his father died, Ruth stayed with her mother-in-law Naomi. She gathered grain and other items all days to provide a living for Naomi. She did everything for other people without expecting anything for herself.
On the first trip to Kenya in 2012, our volunteers had the opportunity to see first-hand what truly selfless people are like, and it was beautiful. Like Ruth, we strive to help as much as we can. Heart of Ruth volunteers teamed up to advocate for the children and staff of the Rainbow House Children’s Home.
The children of Rainbow House deserve a suitable place to receive an education, a clean place to receive essential health care and a safe place to sleep at night.
