Heart of Ruth Mission partnering with
DevXchange International
Heart of Ruth Mission began our partnership with DevXchange International in January 2017. Through DevXchange, we are able to offer our donors Canadian Tax Deductible Receipts. This is of huge benefit for us as now we can attract local businesses to donate as well as getting corporate sponsorship’s. If you are a corporate business looking to make donations for tax deductible receipts, please consider donating through DevXchange to our projects. Right now Heart of Ruth has three projects that we are fundraising for. The main project being the transition house. Our project budget for the transition house is $17,000.00. According to Kenyan law, when a child turns 18 they become an adult and therefore can no longer live at a children’s home. When our kids turn 18, the majority of them will not even be finished high school. Heart of Ruth Mission will be building a home on a plot of land adjacent to Rainbow House for these soon to be young adults. This home will serve as a transition home until they are finished school, have a job and can provide for themselves. Can you help us complete this goal by the end of 2017?

DevXchange is a registered Canadian charity, an association of volunteers that pursue a new approach to international development. We believe that development is a two-way exchange that should advance social innovation with an entrepreneurial spirit. We engage professional volunteers, not just their services and financial support, but their experience and expertise as project strategists and coaches
We facilitate the linking of Canadian volunteers (including those from ethnic communities, recent university graduates and retirees) with indigenous organizations and their humanitarian initiatives in developing countries. We provide management and technical support to these volunteers as well as tax-deductible receipts for their donors.
In short – it’s a development exchange that helps people help people!
